Magnolia Plantation in the Spring

We took Grandpa, Grandma, and D.J. to Magnolia Plantation. We went at the right time, all the azaleas were in bloom. The gardens were spectacular, so many flowers, and so many old oak tree's. We were shocked to hear how old some of the tree's were. The Mansion was beautiful, I loved seeing all the different rooms, and how they lived from the 1700's to the 1900's. Magnolia was a rice plantation, but when the slaves were free it became a flower garden. The swamp land was super fun to see. So many alligators, birds, and turtles. I'm sure there were snakes, I'm glad I didn't see any of them. We had so much fun on all the tours, we really enjoyed the history on the slaves, and how amazing they were. They made the rice plantation successful with the knowledge they had from growing rice in Africa. The story's were so amazing about all the people. We had a blast, the kids even got into all the history, it was a very memorable experience.
